Photo 197: Kyuubey
Photo 17: Madoka Beach Queen
This was a pretty horrible shoot. I am going to have to do another session with these when there is some sunlight, and when I have more time to tweak composition. I decided to go for a snapshot feel, since the girls are supposed to be at the beach. In the end this was the most successful shot.
Picture 10: Kyuubey with Hat
I received my 1:1 scale Kyuubey that I ordered back in August yesterday. And he is amazing. I had to go pick the box up from the post office. And it was huge! Even the post office lady commented on it. Excitement was bubbling inside of me. And it about doubled when a giant box with Kyuubey’s face on and the warning “Incubator Inside: Handle with Care. ” I have seriously never had as much fun opening a figure before.
At any rate, as the night went on I found that Kyuubey looks pretty sharp in my hat. And how could I not resist desaturating the photo to emphasize his creepy red eyes under the shadow of the had. Kyuubey, you are my favorite creepy bastard <3
Picture 2: Tomoe Mami Nendoroid
I have been excited to receive her since she was first announced back in the summer. I was initially going to avoid the whole Madoka Magica Nendoroid line, but Mami was just too good to pass up. Well, she came today, and I thought she might make a good subject for my daily photo. I tried using a paper plate taped to a desk lamp to diffuse the lighting, but I would say I need more lights before I can make that really work (though it is way better then if I just had the light on her) though I think the light worked okayish for the shot.
